Henry Graves published many of the artists whose works were exhibited at the Royal Academy and National Portrait Gallery.[1] The firm Henry Graves & Company published reproductive engravings and compiled cataloged works of the artists they published, such as Works of the Late Sir Edwin Landseer. He also had a publishing partnership, Hodgson & Graves, with Richard Hodgson.[2]

Graves married Mary Squire and they had two sons, Boydell and Algernon.[3] Graves is buried in the family vault at Highgate Cemetery.[4]
